Our Philosophy

 At Claire Soaps™, our approach is intentionally different. It is best described as being “inspired by nature around the globe.”

Our idea of well being extends from the body to the mind and soul—all of which we believe are kept healthy by the complete aversion of chemicals, toxins, artificial dyes and fragrances. We prefer the healthier alternative of Mother Nature’s resources, such as unrefined African shea butter, French and Moroccan clays, and mud and sea salts from Israel’s Dead Sea.

In our products, we use only the purest of essential oils from Indonesia, Thailand, India, Sumatra, Italy, France, Egypt, Bulgaria, Hungary, China, Australia, Croatia, Israel, Japan, Guatemala, Brazil, Madagascar, Morocco, Spain and the United States.

It is generally understood that fresh foods provide us with more nutrients—the fresher and least processed, the better. We reason this is also true of what we put on our skin. Every product designed at our company is a labor of love aimed at achieving these high standards. Our products are created to be the finest and most natural available—developed by trial and error through months of patient research.

Please know that Claire Soaps™ strongly opposes the practice of testing on animals. Our use of goat’s milk, beeswax and honey are assured to be humanely sourced. We feel equally responsible for our precious earth and the environment; therefore, we strive for minimal packaging of our products. The packaging we use is recycled and/or recyclable.

We are located in one of the oldest historical buildings in downtown Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. In fact, our building has an interesting past, once being a saloon and recruiting post during the Civil War! This is where we began with a nearby production facility—opening our retail store in early spring 2006. If you’re ever in the area, we would enjoy the chance to meet you. As we continue to grow through the loyalty of our customers here in the Chippewa Valley—and our site on the World Wide Web – we pledge to stay committed to our philosophy! Our name, the French word for pure, has been used often in our area, describing two great and historical logging rivers, as well as the nearby city of Eau Claire. We think it describes our approach ideally, as we strive to produce the purest possible products. Claire Soaps™ is a name that you are able to trust with confidence.
